Invensys to sponsor Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Industrial Wireless Technology Summit 2007
This event, supported by WINA, is aimed at educating users about the benefits of using wireless technology in industrial applications
SINGAPORE, October 8, 2007 - Invensys Process Systems will provide significant sponsorship support for the Asia Pacific Industrial Wireless Technology Summit 2007, an event organized by Frost & Sullivan and supported by the Wireless Industrial Networking Alliance (WINA). The event, to be held at Westin Hotel - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 14th and 15th November, is expected to draw well over a hundred participants from the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power and General Processing Industries in the Asia Pacific region. Invensys' strategic partner, Apprion, will provide additional sponsorship support.
Satish Lele, Director of Industrial Practice, Frost & Sullivan mentioned, "We are delighted to have Invensys, Apprion, and WINA participate in our event in the Asia Pacific region. We are seeing an increased interest in wireless applications throughout the Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Power and General Process industries, and this is very encouraging. However there is a need to create more awareness among end users about the technology and the solutions that it enables. As a major industrial wireless technology education provider, WINA is in an excellent position to help create this awareness."
The one-and-half-day event is targeted to promote understanding of wireless capabilities and associated benefits in industrial applications and to provide attendees with an opportunity to network with other professionals and exchange information and ideas. Keynote speakers and technology tracks will offer attendees valuable information on industrial wireless applications and business benefits. The conference will also address some of the present day concerns about wireless technology and help to promote confidence in the technology and provide end users with access to solutions.
"WINA is excited to have the opportunity to participate in this Industrial Wireless event in Asia Pacific region. Our primary goal has always been to offer the industry more understanding and confidence in wireless solutions. We look forward to sharing our insights and expertise with conference attendees," said Hesh Kagan, president of WINA.
