Swensen's leads up to the Christmas fiesta with "Viva Piñata" meals and weekly wins of Xbox 360 prizes

SINGAPORE, 2 November 2007 - Swensen's, the American restaurant chain, is leading the celebration of the Christmas spirit, with the introduction of the "Viva Piñata Fiesta" meals from 13th November 2007 right up to 2nd January 2008, with weekly lucky draws giving away Microsoft Xbox 360 game consoles, "Viva Piñata: Party Animals" games and more.

During this season, diners will be able to enjoy a wholesome experience at Swensen's. They can taste the chef's special creation of dishes and sundaes, which are inspired by the main characters in the latest Xbox 360 game - "Viva Piñata: Party Animals" and also have an immediate hands-on experience at playing the game. 10 selected Swensen's restaurants will each have an Xbox 360 gaming corner within their premises for both adults and kids to unwind and enjoy. The ten restaurants are, United Square, Suntec City, Funan IT Mall, Plaza Singapura, IMM, Parkway Parade, Northpoint, Thomson Plaza, Airport Terminal 2 and Marina Square.

"Viva Piñata Fiesta" Set Meals

- Sparrowmint Turkey ($16.90*) - Golden-fried Turkey breast with apricot sauce. Served with sautéed U.S. potato & mushrooms and tomato salsa.

- Doenut Chicken ($15.90*) - Grilled Chicken thigh topped with caramelized onions and served with buttered vegetables and creamy U.S. potatoes.

- Bunnycomb Kebabs ($15.90*) - Grilled Chicken leg glazed with honey mustard on a skewer, Completed with a U.S. Jacket potato and tangy wild rice salad.

- Buzzlegum Dory ($16.90*) - Crispy golden-fried Dory fillets coated in bread crumbs mixed with spices and herbs, served with tangy wild rice salad and U.S. fries.

Each set meal comes with a Soup-of-the-Day, choice of Main Course and a bottle of 100% Fruit Juice (Apple Juice or Tropical Fruit Juice). During this promotional period, Swensen's will launch a special Viva Piñata Kids Menu cum activity/ coloring fun sheet, with 2 new dishes in addition to the usual menu. With every order of a kid's meal and a kid's sundae, diners will get a Limited Edition Viva Piñata mousepad* free. Cool Rewards and Kids' Club Members can get the mousepad free just with an order of the kid's meal. (*While stocks last)

New Sundaes

- Horstachio: (S$6.80*) - A colorful sundae created out of Pistachio and Mango Ice cream topped with layers of butterscotch toppings, hot fudge, chunky peaches and colorful fruity loops.

- Fudgehog: (S$6.80*) - Generous scoops of Sticky Choco Mix ice cream, with luscious marshmallow topping, hot fudge, chocolate balls.

- Pretztail: (S$6.80*) - Chocolate Peanut Buttercup and Butterscotch ice cream topped with generous caramel toppings, mini pretzels and pretzel sticks.

With every order of the "Viva Piñata Fiesta" meal, diners can enjoy S$2 off for any of the 3 sundaes ordered. Cool Rewards and Kids Club members will enjoy a special S$3 off.

Lucky Draws with S$18,000 Worth of Prizes to be Won

With every set meal order, diners stand a chance to win a Microsoft Xbox 360 Pro console and different games every week, with the grand prize being a Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite console with full accessories plus a range of top ten Xbox games. The details for the prizes are as follows:

From 3pm to 5pm, the area will be made exclusive to them, where they can play and enjoy the new Xbox games and have lots of fun with their friends. After the session, the children will then proceed to the Swensen's restaurant in the Funan IT Mall to enjoy the "Viva Piñata Fiesta" meals.
