FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (For Singapore Only)

Intermec and Cisco Keep Customers Connected to Their Mobile Workforce with New Mobile Business Solutions

New technology makes it possible to converge multiple voice and data streams into a single IP platform on the Intermec CN3

SINGAPORE, 16 November 2007 - Intermec (NYSE:IN) has collaborated with Cisco to provide interoperability between the multi-radio CN3 rugged handheld computer and the Cisco Unified Communications and Unified Wireless Network. The combination provides a mobile business solution for enterprise customers of all sizes, helping them to stay connected with their mobile workforce and business applications in real time while improving efficiency across their operations.

"Mobile workers today must use multiple devices to conduct business, depending on whether they are in a cellular or Wi-Fi coverage, which significantly adds to operational costs and inefficiencies," said Ben Gibson, director of mobility solutions for Cisco. "The Intermec rugged CN3 mobile computer provides consistent, highly secure communications with a single device regardless of the work environment and access technology."

The CN3 works simultaneously on multiple communications platforms for voice and data, such as WWAN voice and data service, including 3G EV-DO or EDGE and CDMA radios. Combined with the Cisco Unified Communications and Unified Wireless Network, the CN3 provides seamless, highly secure mobile communications whether on-premise or in the field.

The new Cisco Unified Communications makes it possible to converge multiple voice and data streams into a single IP platform, while the Cisco Unified Wireless Network offers in-building pervasive coverage. This combination allows enhanced productivity, optimized workflow and lowered operating costs by eliminating multiple communications devices.

The new mobile business solution will be featured in a free one-hour webinar, "Unified Communications: Enabling Efficient Communications for the Mobile Worker," on Nov. 15th at 9:00 a.m. Pacific/noon Eastern. Speakers Ben Gibson of Cisco and John Sweitzer of Intermec will discuss the new technology and its implications for the way companies communicate, including key considerations and insights into how unified communications can impact an organization.
