FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (For Singapore Only)

Intermec Extends Market-leading CN3 Mobile Computing Platform with the Large Key, Mid-sized, Rugged CN3e

New rugged device with integrated GPS combines large keypad with robust communications options to meet demands of mobile in-field applications

SINGAPORE, 20 November 2007 - Intermec (NYSE:IN) has introduced the CN3e, an extension of the popular and proven CN3 mobile computer platform. The CN3e is a mid-size, rugged mobile computer designed for applications where larger keys and extended environmental specifications are critical, including DSD (Direct Store Delivery) and ITV (In-transit Visibility) applications.

Developed in response to customer demand for the core feature set of the very popular CN3 mobile computer coupled with additional requirements for key-intensive applications, the CN3e delivers extended data capture options including choice of 2D Area Imager and color camera, a full range of communication options, a rugged design, an enlarged keyboard, and a full range of accessories that are also compatible with the CN3.

"As mobility deployments grow in scale, so do requirements for standardized platform-based support capabilities," said David Krebs, director of Mobile and Wireless Practice for VDC Corporation. "The ability to seamlessly port applications across product families, extend centralized management, provision utilities and leverage a common suite of accessories are critical purchase criteria. As evidenced by the CN3e and the CN3 Series, Intermec is embracing these requirements, further reducing Total Cost of Ownership for their customers."

The introduction of the CN3e, coupled with the CN3, marks the introduction of the CN3 Series. This Intermec platform approach to product development gives customers the opportunity to rapidly deploy proven technology, expand their return on assets and enjoy lower cost of ownership through a shared series of device architecture and accessories. The two products support identical accessories, operating system (Windows Mobile 5.0 Premium & Phone Edition), APIs and wireless mobile options (802.11b/g WLAN with CCX v.3, Bluetooth™, integrated GPS, choice of GSM/GPRS/EDGE or CDMA/1xRTT/EV-DO).

The Intermec CN3 Series also gives customers the ability to easily choose the right tool for their specific end-user requirements from a common, proven platform. For organizations with multiple end-user requirements - including those that have both a pre-sales and DSD group, or both a merchandising and delivery group, or that have end-users who need speech input versus scanned or keyed data input - the CN3 Series provides options for all applications and allows for the leveraging of devices across the entire enterprise, a reduction of cost and simplification of maintenance and support.

The CN3e is now available worldwide. Learn more at http://intermec.com/products/computers/index.aspx.
