FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (For Singapore Only)

German Eyewear Rodenstock To Launch 2008 Frames Collection With Comfort And Style

SINGAPORE, 8 January 2008 - Established eyewear distributor Sin Kwang Group, the official sole distributor of legendary German eyewear brand Rodenstock, debuts the latest Rodenstock 2008 collection in Singapore. Totaling 5 models with 4 colors per model, this collection includes flexible Trogamid® temples that are resistant to scratches, as well as rimless and metal designs to cater to a wide range of customers.

Rodenstock company started in Würzburg, Germany in 1877. Previously a traveling salesman, Josef Rodenstock started making and selling barometers, precision scales and measuring instruments in addition to spectacles lenses and frames. It was Josef Rodenstock's belief that sight defects were not an illness, but could be corrected using the right spectacles. He developed his first lenses, the so-called "diaphragm spectacle lenses" in 1880 which sold very well, and continued to register further patents, including one for a refracting unit.

Today, frames and sunglasses from Rodenstock are leading the market in Germany and are considered to be innovative, light, and functional. The company has a worldwide workforce of approximately 4600 (including 1800 in Germany) and is represented in more than 80 countries with sales subsidiaries and distribution partners.

Rodenstock, the leader in frames and sunglasses in Germany, once again demonstrates its desire to perfect the melding of aesthetics and wearing comfort. The coreless Trogamid® temples in the frames have unique flex properties that are comfortable for the wearers, as well as providing strong resistance to scratches. The temple tips hug wearers with individualized fitting, while the metal core produces perfect contact pressure with ergonomic bending and easy shortening. Even the hinge covers the rim lock in a clever way to provide constant temple movement. These human-centered designs allow comfort for the wearers even after long hours of usage.
