Plantronics Enhances Business Agility for IBM Lotus Sametime Standard 8.0 Users

New Software Plug-In Extends Telephony Capabilities of Lotus Sametime Standard 8.0

Singapore, January 22, 2008 - Plantronics, Inc. (NYSE: PLT), today expanded its growing portfolio of unified communications solutions with Plantronics PerSonoCall® Plug-In for IBM Lotus Sametime Standard 8.0. The new plug-in provides seamless integration between Plantronics' professional wireless headsets for PCs and Lotus Sametime 8.0, helping companies enhance business collaboration and efficiency by speeding communications and extending the boundaries of the virtual workplace.

The new Plantronics PerSonoCall Plug-In enhances the telephony capabilities of PCs running Lotus Sametime Standard 8.0 by providing call management functions - voice activation, call answer/end, volume, mute - and remote ring detection through a wireless headset. By "cutting the cord" between the PC and headset, professionals have the freedom to roam up to 200 feet away from the PC and be completely hands-free to multi-task and collaborate more effectively.
