Swensen's stirs up its woks throughout the Chinese New Year with fusion creations
Exclusive dishes that brings the best of Canton, Chaozhou, Hainan and Shanghai to the dining experience at Swensen's
SINGAPORE, January 14, 2009 - American restaurant chain Swensen's ups the ante again, this time with its Fusion Indulgence Set Meals that blends some of the all-time favorite Chinese dishes with a touch of Western flavor, just ripe for the Chinese New Year celebrations.
Adding on to the festive cheers, most of the Swensen's restaurants are open throughout this Chinese New Year holidays (except Swensen's Funan DigitalLife Mall). Breakfast will also be served at these restaurants from 8 am to 11 am during the said period. (Please refer to the annex below for restaurant opening hours during the Chinese New Year period.)
Swensen's chefs bring a touch of some Chinese dialect dishes to the dining table together with the rest of Swensen's perennial favorites, including the Teochew "dao see" (fermented black beans) dish, the tangy sweet and sour Cantonese taste, the flavorful and spicy Shanghainese palate, and especially the unique Hainanese taste tinged with nostalgia.
The promotional Fusion Indulgence Set Meals will be available from 15th January 2009 to 28th February 2009.

Hainanese Chicken Chop 金雞獨利 - S$15.80
Golden fried boneless chicken drumstick with our chefs' lovingly created Hainanese style sweet savory brown sauce, topped with cheese and grilled pineapple. Served with lemongrass rice and fruit salad.
Grilled Fish with Shanghainese Spicy Noodles 上海面面觀 - S$15.80
Grilled fish fillet over stir-fry Shanghainese style spicy noodles. Topped with curry tomato sauce.
Cantonese Sweet & Sour Baked Rice 海鮮鬧烘烘 - S$16.80
A galore of golden fried shrimps, mussels and fish fritters over savory rice. Baked over Cantonese style sweet and sour sauce.
Grilled Salmon with Teochew Black Soy Bean Sauce 鴻運當頭 S$16.80
Tenderly grilled salmon topped with our chefs' specially created Teochew style sweet black soy bean sauce. Served with lemongrass rice.
Golden Pineapple Crumble 旺萊聚寶盆 - S$13.80
A creamy scoop of pineapple tart ice cream atop a pineapple crumble served on a sizzling pan. Topped with pineapple ring, cherry and loads of crunchy almonds.
