Swensen's to warm hearts with culinary expressions of love on Valentine's Day

SINGAPORE, Feb 4, 2009 - American restaurant chain Swensen's celebrates with all diners on the representative day of love and friendship - Valentine's Day, with themed ice cream cakes and scrumptious set meals.

1) Valentine's Day Cakes - S$16.90+
These themed 250-gram ice cream cakes are lovingly created in the shape of a heart, with the choice of 2 flavors. Each cake satisfies two and makes an excellent romantic gift for a couple. The themed cakes are available from 1st to 15th February 2009.

1a) Lovingly Yours
This sensational Blackforest ice cream Cake features creamy Chocolate ice cream with pitted cherries, generously topped with sensuous strawberries and mixed berries - a pure luxurious indulgence for two.

1b) Be Mine
This lovely creation features Peachy Mango ice cream with crumble bits, topped with peach chunks, strawberries and blueberries - a delightfully fruity sweet treat for two.

2) Valentine's Day Set Meals at Swensen's - S$68++ per couple
The 4-course set meals are available from 9th - 15th February 2009, and consists of:

2a) Appetizer: Choice of 1 Side Dish
2b) Main Course: Choice of any 2 food items
(exluding Soups, Sides and Breakfast Set)
2c) Drink: Choice of 2 Yogurt Smoothies/ Coffee/ Tea
2d) Dessert: Choice of 1 Valentine's Day Ice Cream Cake

For each Valentine's Day Set Meal ordered, customers are entitled to a "Love Pack" (while stocks last). Couples will receive one printed photograph of them dining at Swensen's together, a heart-shaped balloon on a stick and a S$15 voucher for Chocolate Fondue (usual price S$20.40) for their next visit to Swensen's.

To enhance the romantic ambience on Valentine's Day itself, Swensen's will showcase a 3-piece string performance for half an hour at the following outlets:

6 - 6.30pm: Holland Village & United Square
7 - 7.30pm: VivoCity & Plaza Singapura
8 - 8.30pm: Changi Airport T3 & Suntec City Mall

The Valentine's Day Set Meals are available from 9th to 15th February 2009.

Swensen's is offering a 10% discount on the Valentine's Day ice cream cake for all HSBC credit card holders and full-time students of Junior Colleges, Polytechnics, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), and the National University of Singapore (NUS). Students have to produce valid student identification for the discounts. There will be a 15% discount for Swensen's Cool Rewards members.

3) Valentine's Day Promotion at Earle Swensen's - S$88++ per couple
The 4-course set meals are available from 9th - 15th February 2009, and consists of:

3a) Main Course: Choice of any 2 food items
(excluding Soups, Appetizers, Buffet Salad Bar and Good-4-Two)
3b) Buffet Salad Bar
3c) Drink: 2 glasses of True Love - a special sparkling drink concoction of strawberry and lime
3d) Dessert: Choice of 1 Valentine's Day Cake

For every Valentine's Day Set Meal ordered at Earle Swensen's, customers are entitled to "Pampering Love Treats" - a heart shaped balloon on a stick, Darrell Lea Rocklea Road chocolates sponsored by Gloria Jean's Coffees, a 25% discount voucher from Harris the Bookstore, a S$50 Dr. Hauschka voucher redeemable for travel skincare products, a S$50 Dr. Hauschka spa treatment voucher, and a S$15 voucher for Chocolate Fondue (usual price S$20.80) for the next visit to Earle Swensen's.
