Swensen's Launches New Menu and Extends Popular 1-for-1 Weekday Lunch Treats

New super menu caters to a wide spectrum of diners with healthy, hearty and delicious choices with more than 20 new delicious dishes and ice cream sundaes

SINGAPORE, August 7, 2009 - American restaurant chain, Swensen's, has launched an incredible new menu with more than 20 new delicious dishes and ice cream sundaes, made available at all 21 Swensen's restaurants from 1 July 2009 onwards.

To capture the local foodie's taste buds, western delights with a twist of local flavors such as Chili Crab Pasta and Sambal Seafood Pizza have been introduced into Swensen's ala carte menu. Diners can also look forward to an exciting local infusion in the newly concocted sundae range with Durian Supreme, Chendol Delight and Milo Indulgence.

Diners who enjoy western dishes will have their palates satisfied with an authentic beef stroganoff, baked over savory rice and cheese. In addition, seafood lovers must not miss out on their Butter Herb Prawn, which consists of succulent prawns baked to perfection and topped with tomato salsa.

Due to overwhelming response, Swensen's is extending its 1-for-1 Lunch Treat Promotion till August 31, 2009 and up to 5 pm every weekday. The 1-for-1 Lunch Treat Promotion is also available for all Earle Swensen's outlets, with the popular buffet salad bar included for selected main course.

SIGNATURE DISHES IN NEW MENU

Beef Stroganoff Baked Rice (S$12.80)
Delectable chunky beef slices sauteed with onions and cooked in brown sauce oven baked over savory rice and cheese.

Sambal Seafood Pizza (S$13.90)
A spicy and sumptuous seafood spread of prawns, squid rings and fish bites, on a spicy sambal mayo base.

Chili Crab Pasta (S$15.90)
Crispy fried soft shell crab atop spaghetti, fish fillets, crabsticks and mushrooms. Tossed in our Chef's signature chili crab sauce.

Beef Lasagne (S$13.90)
Juicy minced beef between layers of pasta and spinach, accompanied with tangy tomato sauce.

Butter Herb Prawns (S$15.90)
Succulent prawns oven baked with herbs, butter and topped with tangy tomato salsa. Served with seasonal vegetables and savory rice.

LOCAL INFUSION DESSERTS IN NEW MENU

Durian Supreme (S$8.90)
Generous scoops of durian ice cream accompanied with chewy attap seeds and crunchy almonds, this is the durian lovers' choice, for it tastes just like durian in frozen form.

Chendol Delight (S$7.90)
Bountiful scoops of chendol ice cream smothered in gula melaka, served with a generous serving of red bean, chendol jelly and attap seeds.

Milo Indulgence (S$7.90)
Creamy scoops of milo ice cream topped with hot fudge, chocolate balls, milo powder and chocolate morsels for the added crunch.

EXTENSION OF 1-FOR-1 LUNCH TREAT PROMOTION

Swensen's has extended the popular 1-for-1 Lunch Treat Promotion to August 31, 2009, at all 21 Swensen's restaurants and also Earle Swensen's. The promotion is applicable from 11 AM to 5 PM daily. Diners can also top up S$2 for a coffee, tea, or soft drink, or soup, or a single scoop of ice cream.
