Swensen's New Ice Cream Mooncakes to Delight the Palate with an Amazing Array of Flavors

Swensen's promotes reusable carriers for its range of mooncakes in line with the "green" movement

SINGAPORE, 11 August 2009 - American restaurant chain, Swensen's, is launching an exciting array of ice cream mooncakes in time for the Mid-Autumn's Festival, with new interesting flavors, such as Strawberry Peachy Mango Yogurt and Mangosteen.

The specialty ice cream mooncakes will be available from 1st September to 3rd October 2009, at all Swensen's and Earle Swensen's restaurants.

The best sellers, like the all-time favorite Sticky Chewy Chocolate, will continue to tempt the palate. Even better, Swensen's has made dramatic improvements to the Durian Supreme, which is as close to the real fruit as you can get.

Swensen's ice cream mooncakes are available in eight flavors, for S$25.90 per box of 4 pieces, and customers can select any 4 flavors within each box.

Dine-in customers have the privilege of ordering individual ice cream mooncakes at S$7.90 each, with a complimentary cup of premium Sir Thomas Lipton tea in Kenya or Green Tea flavor.

The Flavors

1. Sticky Chewy Chocolate (All-time favorite): The all-time-favorite is back! Savor Swensen's Signature Sticky Chewy Chocolate ice cream that is good enough on its own.

2. Durian Supreme (Improved Version): With just a whiff of the aromatic fragrance and a bite of our enhanced ultra creamy Durian ice cream is sure to send you clamoring for more!

3. Hazelnut Latte (New!): Hazelnut ice cream swirled with Cappuccino ice cream - a coffee lover's perfect choice!

4. Strawberry Peachy Mango Yogurt (New!): Delight and soothe your palate with the refreshing combination of Strawberry ice cream swirled with Peachy Mango ice cream and yogurt.

5. Kiwi Raspberry (New!): Feel the zesty taste of Kiwi ice cream swirled with tangy Raspberry ice cream for a unique tropical experience.

6. Mangosteen (New!): Surprise your taste buds with rich and flavorful Mangosteen ice cream that looks and tastes almost like the real thing!

7. Black Sesame Peanut (New!): Bringing back the traditional taste with a cool twist is the creamy Black Sesame ice cream swirled with fragrant Peanut ice cream.

8. Milo (New!): Revel in a new way to enjoy this local favorite of Milo ice cream with diced almonds to give that extra crunch.

Swensen's Disney Ice Cream Mooncakes

Everyone adores Mickey and Minnie Mouse and Swensen's is offering the Disney Ice Cream Mooncakes at S$16.90 for 2 pieces per box this year. Each mooncake features an embossed shape of Mickey's smiling face that will brighten everyone's day. Each box comes with a reusable carrier and both are specially designed with adorable Disney characters.

Each box comes pre-packed with 1 Chocolate ice cream mooncake and 1 Cookies 'N' Cream ice cream mooncake. The Chocolate ice cream mooncake has additional white chocolate shavings to make it even more chocolaty. These mooncakes will definitely be the kids' favorite this Mid-Autumn festival.

Reusable Carriers

Swensen's shares the fundamental belief for a greener and more sustainable planet, with the introduction of the specially designed reusable carriers this year. A reusable carrier will be given with every box of ice cream mooncake purchased, while stocks last.

Rewarding S$8 Discount Vouchers and other privileges

From 1st September to 3rd October 2009, customers will receive an S$8 Discount Voucher for every 2 boxes of ice cream mooncake purchased. Discount vouchers can be used for dining at any Swensen's restaurant. Other terms and conditions for the voucher apply.

During the same period, dine-in customers who purchase single pack mooncakes at S$7.90 each will be served a complimentary cup of Sir Thomas Lipton premium tea (worth S$3.90).

From 1st to 11th September 2009, customers will get to taste the ice cream mooncakes with every dine-in order of an Executive Lunch Set on weekdays from 11am to 2pm. Each Executive Lunch Set consists of a Main Course or Pasta, a Soup-of-the-Day, a selected drink and a special mooncake creation as dessert. There are 4 mooncake flavors to choose from. Swensen's Cool Rewards and Kid's Club members enjoy a 20% discount off Swensen's ice cream mooncakes; while HSBC, OCBC, DBS, POSB, RBS and Standard Chartered credit and debit cardholders enjoy 15% off. Discounts are not applicable to Disney ice cream mooncakes.
