Porsche Design Eyewear Sponsored The First Ever Race Between A Jetliner And Porsche In Singapore

Singapore, October 8, 2009 - Changi Airport Group organized the first ever Changi Airport Race between a Boeing 747 jetliner and a Porsche 911 GT3 Carrera Cup car, on the Changi Airport Runway on September 5, 2009. To commemorate this unique adrenaline-charged race, Porsche Design sponsored the Porsche 911 GT3 Carrera Cup driver Yuey Tan, with a pair of Porsche Design sunglasses, as well as a selected audience of 30 people, with a pair of Porsche Design sunglasses each.

Porsche Design sunglasses are made with the same exacting demands as a Porsche car, in terms of innovation, quality, and functionality. Only polycarbonate lenses of the highest quality are used for all Porsche Design sunglasses. These lenses are unbreakable, extremely scratch-resistant, and provide 100% ultraviolet (UV) protection. The back-surface anti-reflective (AR) coating on all Porsche Design sunglasses reduces distracting reflections and provides the best possible vision comfort. To ensure optimum imaging properties, all these sunglasses with a greater curvature (than the base curve 8) are also provided with a compensation prism.

Sin Kwang Optical Pte Ltd, sole distributor of Porsche Design eyewear in Singapore, sponsored Yuey Tan with the models P'8458d and P'8459b, while the 30 audience members were sponsored with a pair each, from the 3 select Porsche Design models of P'8417, P'8418, or P'8422.
