Check Point appoints John Ong as Regional Director for South Asia

SINGAPORE, November 5, 2009 - Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced the appointment of John Ong as regional director for South Asia. In this capacity, Ong oversees Check Point's overall business performance throughout the ASEAN region, leads the company's local sales operation and manages and develops channel and customer relationships in these markets.

John joined Check Point in 2000 as Major Accounts Manager. In 2007 Ong was appointed as Check Point's regional sales manager in South Asia and responsible for developing the markets for the Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand. Through his extensive experience across South Asia John has gained an intimate understanding of regional work cultures and built strong and fruitful relationships with customers and channels.

"With his successful track record and wealth of expertise in the IT security industry he is the ideal candidate to lead Check Point's strong market growth in South Asia".

Ong graduated from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) of Singapore in 1994 with a Bachelor Degree in Applied Science, Computer Technology & Engineering.
