Swensen's "Prosperity Catch" meals celebrate the month of the Lunar New Year

SINGAPORE, 25 January 2008 - American restaurant chain, Swensen's is launching its latest promotional menu to coincide with the Lunar New Year month of February 2008, with a contemporary rendition of fish meals, which is supposed to bring luck and prosperity to diners. The "Prosperity Catch" promotion will run for the month of February 2008, at all 22 Swensen's restaurants. This is the second "culinary expertise" promotion for 2008, whereby Swensen's chefs will have a specific ingredient as the focus and create new dishes and meals every month for the entire year.

Each Prosperity Catch dish* comes with a Soup-of-the-day and a coffee/tea/soft drink.

Here are the items from the promotional menu:

Grilled Sea Bass - S$16.80
Scrumptiously grilled Sea Bass with pepper crust. Served with mashed yam & sweet potato and pineapple salsa.

Golden Fried Pomfret - S$19.80
White Pomfret fried to a glorious golden color and served with our chef's special sweet spicy oriental sauce. Served with savory raisin rice and pineapple salsa.

Grilled Red Snapper - S$17.80
Red Snapper fillet grilled to perfection, drizzled with a light curry cream sauce. Served with savory raisin rice and sautéed vegetables.

Prosperity Salad - S$4.80
Succulent prawns and scallops tossed with shredded mixed vegetables and golden mushroom in spicy mint dressing.

Sundae of the month: Golden Treasures - S$6.80
Generous scoops of Pineapple Sherbet & Mango ice cream topped with luscious pineapple topping, pineapple rings and peach chunks.

Promotional deals
For any Prosperity Catch dish* ordered, diners can enjoy Golden Treasures sundae at S$4.80. Cool Rewards & Kids Club members can top-up S$3.80 to enjoy the Golden Treasures sundae or the Prosperity Salad. HSBC Credit cardholders can enjoy a 'Buy 3 get 1 Free' promotion on any food item when at least 2 items are from the Prosperity Catch promotion*.
