SINGAPORE – Today, Shure is unveiling SE846 Gen 2, the next generation of sound isolating earphones. The Shure SE846 Sound Isolating™  Earphones have long set the standard for high-performance audio in the professional music industry and among audiophiles. Shure is releasing the next generation of their acclaimed earphones today, ten years after the debut of the highly regarded original. The new headphones come in two new colors, have a new selectable sound signature, come with an expanded selection of sleeve sizes, and come in updated packaging.

The SE846 Gen 2 adds an updated Clear model and two new metallic colors, Jade and Graphite. The Graphite and Jade models feature a striking two-tone design, with a colored exterior shell and a transparent interior housing showcasing the carefully crafted internals.

The earphones feature four precision-engineered drivers and the same universal sound-isolating design as the previous generation, all of which have been fine-tuned to work in perfect harmony with one another to provide unrivaled, long-lasting clarity. Because of the innovative low-pass filter layout, you get the full-range bass response of a real subwoofer without compromising on any of the finer nuances.

The SE846 Gen 2 has a new extended sound signature that improves high-frequency extension in response to user feedback. This is accomplished through a more targeted contour in the frequency response (4kHz – 12kHz), which enhances imaging clarity and gives the sound a more appealing “airy” quality. The SE846 Gen 2 will come standard with the Extended filter, and users can also choose from the Balanced, Warm, and Bright filters for even more granular control over the resulting sound.

The SE846 still has a detachable cable that can be used with the Shure True Wireless Adapters to make the headset wireless or with any other wired accessory.

Various sleeve materials, such as the aforementioned ComplyTM foam, allow for a customized fit. In the meantime, you can add a further layer of individualization to your listening experience by choosing from a variety of distinct sound signatures.

“The unparalleled audio of the SE846 is based on decades of dedication. It’s why musicians and audiophiles trust Shure technology year after year,” said Sean Sullivan, Associate Director of Wired Products, at Shure. “This new model provides even the most discerning listeners with nuanced control of their audio experience with the addition of the new, fourth sound signature. Paired with four high-def drivers and Shure sound isolating technology, these earphones offer an advanced level of listening.”
