Gloria Jean's Coffees to Open 3 New Outlets in Singapore

Premium coffee franchise to build regional warehouse in Singapore, and to open 10 to 12 more outlets in 2008

SINGAPORE, 3 December 2007 - The latest coffee sensation to hit the shores of Singapore since July 2006, Gloria Jean's Coffees, will open 3 new outlets in Singapore by end December 2007, to support the 7 successful existing outlets so far. Gloria Jean's Coffees also announced its plans to build a regional warehouse to serve all its regional franchisees, as well as plans to open 10 to12 more outlets by 2008, to provide more availability of its products throughout Singapore, including suburban areas.

Gloria Jean's has observed the increasing sophistication of Singapore consumers in terms of gourmet coffee, and its rapid expansion within the Singapore market is testimony to the quality and finesse of its coffee products. To date, Gloria Jean's has provided employment for more than 200 people in Singapore. Already, the management is looking for more franchisees for 2008.

Through a mature and developed franchise system, Gloria Jean's can help its franchisees realize profits as owner-operators since profits remain in Singapore, unlike competing franchises where profits are returned to their host countries, such as USA. Gloria Jean's is also launching several new drinks on its menu, including the Green Tea Chiller, Caramel Nut Cappuccino, and Caramel Nut Chiller. The Green Tea Chiller is for non-coffee drinkers to enjoy the Gloria Jean's experience, and features a blend of real Matcha green tea with creamy vanilla, topped with whipped cream. The Caramel Nut Cappuccino and Chiller drinks are an extension to the popular Caramelatte drinks, and feature a fusion of aromatic expresso, caramel and hazelnut. The Caramel Nut drinks come in hot or the cold Chiller versions.

Gloria Jean's believes in active community support, such as its Make-a-wish program. The outlets also employ hearing challenged individuals, as well as provide work experience programs for students and Australia International School students, and assists many groups of students from SMU whom need a business to conduct business case studies.
