Check Point Appoints Sharat Sinha as Vice President for Asia-Pacific and Japan
New appointment will further strengthen presence and help to accelerate growth in Asia-Pacific & Japan markets
SINGAPORE – Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP), a global leader in cyber security solutions, had hired Sharat Sinha to serve as Vice President for the Asia Pacific region. The success of Check Point’s market and business in the region will be his responsibility, with a particular emphasis on sales strategy and operational strategies.
Mr. Sinha has worked in the IT industry for over 25 years, mostly in senior sales and marketing roles in the fields of cybersecurity and corporate computing. After four years at VMware as vice president for the Asia Pacific and Japan region, he has joined the team. When he first joined Palo Alto Networks, he spent two years as the company’s vice president of the Asia Pacific region and general manager. Over the course of 11 years in the Asia-Pacific region, he has held many sales and division leadership responsibilities at Cisco.

Sharat holds a Doctorate in business management from the University of South Australia and has a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering. He also holds a Postgraduate degree in Industrial and Management engineering from the Indian institute of Technology (IIT).
